
Energy System Engineer

- Design and size EV charging stations and their electrical components (cables, LV cabinets, fuses, chargers, inverters, circuit breakers, etc.) using dedicated industry tools.
- Read and interpret electrical design plans and calculation notes.
- Analyze and challenge technical design choices to optimize performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Evaluate different grid architectures (AC/DC, low and high voltage) and support the integration of batteries (BESS), photovoltaic systems (PV), and energy management systems (EMS).
- Ensure safety and compliance are central to all design and implementation decisions.
- Assess and minimize energy losses in electrical systems.
- Ensure full compliance with national and European electrical installation regulations and standards.
- Participate in on-site commissioning and startup activities of EV infrastructure, including PV, EMS, and BESS systems.
- Ensure proper system operation and validate conformity to technical specifications.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues on the field to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Provide technical support to project teams to ensure smooth deployment of infrastructure.
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and construction partners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support multiple infrastructure deployment projects in parallel.
- Contribute to technical audits and propose continuous improvements for existing installations.
- Experience in electrical engineering, in electrical infrastructure design and hardware sizing
- Familiarity with AC/DC systems, grid integration, and electrical protection
- Proficiency with electrical design tools (e.g., elec calc, EPLAN, Caneco, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent)
- Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance
- High level of autonomy, curiosity, and ability to learn quickly
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects concurrently
- English and French - fluent, both written and spoken (German - a plus)
