- You're a system engineer who's architected and followed the deployment and refinement of at least one large multi-user, bi-directional wireless communications system. This doesn't have to be a satellite-based system.
- You've worked with or for comms system component suppliers, leading design reviews from either the supplier or customer side.
- You have a deep understanding and experience in the system development, integration, verification, and validation process.
- Possess 5-10 years of industry work experience
- Participate to the definition of the end-to-end system Architecture and the associated documentation : Design Definition File and Design Justification File for the justification of the design choices
- Perform the System trade-off and more particularly the trade-off related to physical layer design, for example on air interfaces trade-offs, time management, and all inter-segments trade-off related to physical layer
- Define and implement processes for making and tracking key architectural decisions and changes using selected and appropriate tools.
- Work in collaboration with the engineering tools manager to develop the functional architecture model and methodology, coordinate functional architecture activities within the architecture team
- Work in collaboration with interface manager for the consistency of the overall model
- Work with payload, UT and GW teams on the main physical layer related trade-off and take relevant decisions
- Define CONOPS to ensure that the system functional flows are clearly defined
- Contribute to system requirements writing for the topics you are in charge
- Strong background in the integration of all system segments including Payload, Mission Segment, Core Network, RAN, Core Network, User Terminal, BSS and OSS.
- Background in adaptations of communications systems for satellite deployments.
- Understanding of security / integrity protection both of User Data and the control / management systems.
- Knowledge about NTN features would be appreciated.
- You also should have experience of using various systems engineering software tools for requirements management and model-based systems engineering.
- Ideally based in one of the Eutelsat Group head quarter offices within the European Union, Paris, France or Torino, Italy
- Flexible in-office and from-home remote work
- International travel required
