Context & Job descriptionThe Electronics Unit, part of the Detector & Electronics Group within the Instrumentation Services and Development Division, develops and supports electronic systems for the ESRF’s experimental stations (beamlines) and accelerator complex. This includes control instrumentation, fast digital electronics, data acquisition systems for detectors and sensors, signal processing, and high-precision analog solutions.We are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to strengthen the team and contribute to advanced development projects in these areas.Your main missions will be to:
  • Coordinate electronics development projects from specification to integration.
  • Design and prototype digital and analog electronics for instrumentation and control.
  • Act as a technical reference for complex systems within the team.
  • Provide support to beamlines and accelerator teams in control electronics.
Investigate and promote new technologies and solutions pertinent to our activities.Expected profile
  • Master's degree (or equivalent, 300 ECTS) in electronics or a related field; PhD is a plus.
  • Around 10 years of experience preferred, but fewer years may be considered if relevant.
  • Proven skills in PCB design, FPGA development, and signal processing.
  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Proficient in English, with good documentation and communication skills.
