- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior leadership and departmental managers on all HR-related matters.
- Provide support and coaching to managers in navigating complex HR issues, promoting fair and consistent decision-making aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with managers to align talent development and succession planning with the company's long-term strategic goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous feedback, and high performance through effective manager enablement.
- Act as a bridge between leadership and employees, ensuring transparent communication and alignment of HR initiatives with operational needs.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to a team of administrative staff across multiple French offices, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and a high standard of service delivery.
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of administrative operations, promoting consistency, accuracy, and professionalism across all locations.
- Supervise and support the coordination of local and regional events i.e. sales kick-off, year-end celebrations, family days.
- Supervise and support the coordination of cross-site office functions including facilities management, procurement, vendor liaison, and on-site employee support.
- Ensure the administration team is fully equipped to respond to evolving business needs, supporting a culture of adaptability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Keep up to date with labour law in order to develop, implement, and continuously refine HR policies and procedures in full alignment with French labour legislation and corporate standards.
- Lead consultation processes with senior leadership and the Director of HR, Facilities and ASG to gain input and secure buy-in on key HR policies.
- Manage a centralised and up-to-date repository of HR policies and ensure ongoing visibility and accessibility through the intranet.
- Coach and support managers and employees on policy application, offering practical training and advice to embed consistency and compliance.
- Serve as the lead contact for all matters related to the Workers Council (CSE), Trade Unions, and Health & Safety Committees, ensuring legally compliant and constructive dialogue.
- Manage complex employee relations cases, including grievances, investigations, and conflict resolution with a pragmatic, fair, and legally sound approach.
- Maintain positive working relationship with external legal counsel in order to provide senior-level expertise on French labour law, organisational change, disciplinary processes, and restructuring initiatives.
- Assess, update, and drive improvements in the company's performance management and employee development frameworks.
- Work with managers to identify skill gaps and deliver strategic, targeted training plans that support employee growth and business performance.
- Oversee structured onboarding and offboarding processes to provide a consistent and positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Draft compliant, well-structured employment contracts and job offers in line with statutory and internal guidelines.
- Partner with hiring managers and in-house Recruitment to help design and execute recruitment plans that attract top talent and align with long-term workforce planning.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyse underlying trends, and recommend proactive retention strategies based on qualitative and quantitative data.
- Act as a first point of contact on employee compensation, benefits, and statutory entitlements; provide guidance to employees and line managers alike.
- Support the design, benchmarking, and communication of competitive reward structures in line with market standards and internal equity.
- Contribute to cost-of-living reviews, salary benchmarking studies, and broader compensation strategy planning as required.
- Manage the annual performance review cycle, ensuring compliance with corporate timelines and standards.
- Validate that all role changes, promotions, and salary reviews are documented, justified, and aligned with internal governance protocols.
- Provide senior leadership with clear, timely performance data and recommendations to inform people decisions.
- Collaborate with external health & safety experts to guarantee compliance with French legislation and best practices.
- Coordinate mandatory training and maintain audit-ready documentation and reporting.
- Oversee the smooth running of office operations, including maintenance, security, and service provider contracts.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and French data protection laws, working in collaboration with in-house and external legal counsel.
- Maintain secure and compliant personnel records and HR documentation across all locations.
- Collaborate with the HRIS Specialist to track and analyse key HR metrics, including attendance, absenteeism, turnover, and leave patterns, and report on emerging trends.
- Maintain open, timely, and transparent communication across offices, ensuring alignment with leadership and consistency of message.
- Act as a key communication bridge between French operations and the broader European HR network.
- Undertake strategic and ad hoc project work assigned by the Director of HR, Facilities and ASG or their assigned deputy.
- Actively shape local HR strategy to support evolving business priorities while preserving and promoting company culture.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior HR role, preferably in an international organisation.
- Prior experience working with French Workers Councils, Trade Unions, and collective bargaining frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, ideally administrative or HR support personnel.
- Strong understanding of French employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience working with U.S.-headquartered companies and balancing local/global expectations.
- Fluent in French (native level) and professional English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate.
