Join us and help shape the future of online gaming!ENTER THE GAMEWe are looking for a Quantitative Analyst with a passion for sports and mathematics to join our team.This role involves designing algorithms and statistical modeling with a deep understanding of sports betting. Your research, precision, and creativity will contribute to enhancing the performance and sophistication of our betting product and trading systems.YOUR ROLE AT BETCLICIn this context, your main responsibilities will include:Development and Improvement of Mathematical Models and Algorithms:Design and develop scalable and consistent pricing and sports trading models across various aspects, including live betting, pre-match betting, and customized bet creation scenarios (betbuilder).Platform Development:Contribute to the development of a robust and scalable platform to host and refine sports mathematical models.This platform will be crucial for generating real-time and pre-match odds, as well as measuring model performance, ensuring that our technology and user experience remain at the forefront of the betting industry.Collaboration and Integration:Work closely with the trading team to set prices and effectively manage betting markets.Collaborate with technical teams to integrate your models into the system.Interact with the Product and Risk teams to understand the user experience and anticipate its impact.Work alongside Data Science teams to share knowledge and common methodologies.Competitive Analysis and Research:Conduct continuous academic and industry research to refine our models and betting methodologies.Share mathematical and technical knowledge across the organization.WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm!This job is for you if:
  • You hold a Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field, or a Ph.D.
  • You have a strong knowledge of statistical modeling, probability theory, and Bayesian methodologies.
  • You have experience with cloud-based platforms, software development, data engineering, and optimizing machine learning models (ML Ops).
  • You have proven experience in a quantitative role within the sports betting industry.
  • You have experience developing and implementing betting models for pre-match events, live betting, and customized bet creation systems (betbuilder).
  • You have a great attention to detail, creativity, and an open communication style that contributes positively to the team.
  • And finally, you speak English fluently.
WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?
  • If your application is shortlisted, you will be contacted by Pierre within a week for a 30-minute HR pre-qualification interview.
  • You will then be invited to complete the AssessFirst test (covering personality, motivation, and cognitive ability).
  • You will then meet Jos – your future manager (Head of Quant), followed by Francesco (Head of Product), and finally Martin (Sportsbook Director).
  • Pierre will conduct a final HR interview where you will also discuss the results of your AssessFirst Test.
