Want to join the ride?Wärtsilä France is a service company specialized in energy solutions, after-sales service on gas and diesel engines, automation and propulsion.Our company today employs 450 employees in France, for clients based around the world.The Special Applications (SA) entity is dedicated to global equipment services which can include the reconditioning of emergency engines for certain nuclear power plants around the world and also the Leclerc battle tank engines for the French army.Attached to the Operations Special Applications entity and based in the Surgères production workshop, you will report to the Methods Manager and integrated into a team of around 10 people.We are now looking for aMethods Technician Special Applicationsto join our team working for a better future.The preferred location for the position is in Surgères, France.What you will be doingSupport the production workshop in the completion and development of operations, as well as in its overall approach to continuous improvement, by providing the necessary material resources and work instructions.As Methods Technician Special Applications your work will focus on these responsibilities:
  • Write and update work instructions, operating procedures, report documents and workstation descriptions.
  • Ensure the traceability and distribution of documents and support users in their implementation.
  • Ensure the availability, monitoring and compliance of specific and conventional tools used at workstations.
  • Collaborate in projects to improve workstations in terms of safety, ergonomics, quality or productivity (examples: tools, layout, process equipment and machines).
  • Collaborate in the application and development of continuous improvement tools (examples: 5S, visual management).
  • Collaborate daily cross-functionally with Managers and employees of the production workshop, as well as employees of other support services (examples: technical, quality, logistics, purchasing and HSE).
  • Participate in work meetings.
  • Discuss technical matters with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Follow the annual objectives defined during the individual interview (Development Discussion).
To be successful in this role we expect you to have:
  • Bac +2 in industrials/mecanicals sectors or equivalent acquired professional experience
  • 3 years experience at least in the Industrie in Methods or Production
  • Experience in Project management
  • Professional knowledge of Industrial/mechanical drawing,
  • Intermediate level/practice of English
  • Knowledge of MS office and SAP

  • Rédiger et mettre à jour des instructions de travail, modes opératoires, documents de relevé et des fiches de poste.
  • Assurer la traçabilité et la diffusion des documents et accompagner les utilisateurs dans leur mise en application.
  • Assurer la disponibilité, le suivi et la conformité des outillages spécifiques et conventionnels utilisés sur les postes de travails.
  • Collaborer dans des projets d'amélioration des postes de travail en termes de sécurité, d'ergonomie, de qualité ou de productivité (exemples : outillages, aménagement, équipements process et machines).
  • Collaborer dans l'application et le développement des outils d'amélioration continue (exemples : 5S, management visuel).
  • Collaborer quotidiennement en transversal avec des Responsables et des collaborateurs de l'atelier de production, ainsi que des collaborateurs d'autres services support (exemples : technique, qualité, logistique, achats et HSE).
  • Participer à des réunions de travail.
  • Echanger techniquement avec des fournisseurs et des prestataires.
  • Suivre les objectifs annuels définis lors de l'entretien individuel (Development Discussion).
Pour réussir dans ce rôle, nous attendons de vous:
  • Bac +2 en domaines industriels/mécanique (ex : BTS, DUT, BUT…) ou expérience acquise équivalente
  • Au moins 3 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie en Méthodes ou Production
  • Gestion de projet experience
  • Experience en Dessin industriel/lecture de plan mécanique
  • Pratique de l'anglais niveau intermédiaire
  • Experience en Pack office windows et SAP
  • facilement au changement
