- Education:
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree (preferred) from an accredited educational institution.
- Scrum Master certification required, SAFe RTE certification desired or proven equivalent experience.
- PMI Agile Practitioner’s Certification preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of RTE /Project Management in the Software Development domain and Product Increment planning for the ART.
- Experience in working across multiple teams, facilitating joined contributions and alignment.
- Strong leadership with a passion to lead continuous improvement culture through the teams.
- Acts as a servant leader, guiding and supporting the ART to deliver value effectively and efficiently.
- Experience with Agile development practices: Experience with Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile methodologies is essential.
- Experience with project management tools: Familiarity with tools like Jira, Rally, or VersionOne is helpful.
- Strong understanding of Agile and SAFe principles: The RTE needs a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe, and how to apply them in a scaled environment.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication and interpersonal skills: They need to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including technical teams, product managers, and executives. Collaborating with resources and squads across France and multiple English-speaking countries around the globe is required.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills: The RTE needs to be able to identify and resolve issues that arise within the ART and between teams.
- Coaching and mentoring skills: They need to be able to coach and mentor teams and individuals to improve their performance and foster a collaborative environment.
- Ensuring Alignment: Ensure teams are aligned with the overall strategic goals and objectives of the organization.
- Backlog Refinement: Ensure continuous backlog preparation activities are well performed and monitored. Guide Product Owners and Product Managers with this activity.
- Facilitating ART Events: Lead and facilitate key ART events like PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops, ensuring they are effective and productive. Ensure outcomes are distributed to all stakeholders in a clear manner, monitoring execution.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Coach teams and individuals on SAFe principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Lead the Scrum Masters chapter working group. Function as a Scrum Master for Transversal squads.
- Removing Impediments: Identifies and removes impediments that hinder the ART's progress, working with teams and stakeholders to resolve issues, tracked and driven to accomplishment.
- Managing Dependencies: Manage dependencies between multiple cross-teams and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth flow of work and minimizing disruptions.
- Driving Continuous Improvement: Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives, analyzing feedback, and implementing changes to optimize the ART's performance. Evangelize SAFe process to other teams and onboard newcomers when required.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate with stakeholders, provide updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and ensure alignment with business deliverables.
