We also work closely with the broader technology industry to share our knowledge and NGOs create industry-leading child protection standards.Join us in this exciting journey and help us shape the future of social interactions!About this role:We're looking for a Senior Product Designer, Trust & Safety to design user experiences that quietly but powerfully protect Yubo's users. This isn't just about warnings and reports. It's about creating flows and tools that reduce harm before it happens, and without users even taking notice of it.You'll be the first dedicated designer focused on this area, and a core part of our cross-functional Trust & Safety (T&S) squad. As such, you will be the sole representative for the design team within that squad, and collaborate closely with PMs, software engineers, data scientists, and moderators who are at the frontlines of user safety at Yubo.Our approach to privacy * As part of your job, you will be working on tools that process personal data relating to Yubo users.
  • As a social media platform, we require our employees to have a strong awareness and understanding of privacy issues, and in particular of children's online safety, privacy and well-being.

Your responsibilities * Co-lead the T&S product squad with the Product Manager and Tech Lead to set goals, define experiments, and drive measurable safety impact
  • Design internal tooling for moderators and investigation teams to work faster and smarter
  • Partner with data and ML teams to uncover behaviour patterns, run A/B tests and rapidly validate hypotheses; kill or evolve solutions based on clear safety KPIs
  • Continuously analyze usage data, conduct research, and perform competitor analysis to guide design decisions.
  • Contribute to Yubo's design system with a focus on consistency and accessibility in safety-related UX

Who you are * 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in SaaS or tooling for client facing teams.
  • Proven ability to lead design in cross-functional teams and own end-to-end flows
  • Strong skills in interface design and usability principles, ideally on mobile and web (mobile mandatory)
  • Comfortable with data and experimentation, going beyond simple usage metrics.
  • A strong sense of ownership and autonomy, balanced with the ability to give and receive feedback constructively.
Within a month, you will * Understand how Trust & Safety works at Yubo, from internal teams to tooling and decision-making
  • Audit current flows, tools, and experiences related to user safety
  • Co-define your squad's roadmap with the PM and Tech Lead
  • Start designing improvements to existing moderation tools
Within 3 months, you will * Launch your first safety UX improvements to internal tools or user-facing features
  • Add smarter sign-up and in-app checks that spot bad actors before they act, while keeping the experience smooth for real users.
  • Start contributing to the broader design system with safety components in mind
Within 6 months, you will * Work on how bringing AI to the party by prototyping pilot projects focused on increasing user safety and reducing moderator workload.
  • Establish UX best practices for safety across the app
  • Help define what “safety by design” means at Yubo
