Join a dynamic and innovative SME specializing in subsurface energy technology solutions, including geothermal, oil, gas, and CO2 storage.Located near Lyon, this company stands out for its portfolio of international clients and commitment to efficiency, environmental protection, and cost control.We are seeking a motivated Scientific Computing Engineer to join this multicultural team renowned globally for its expertise.The role holder will be responsible for developing business software.Key responsibilities include developing mathematical models based on physical models provided by the Technical Department and translating these into JAVA algorithms for the company's software (digital tools enabling simulation of well integrity during and after drilling). You will also participate in software validation.Requirements
  • PhD or Masters degree from an engineering school or university (Recent graduate or PhD welcome).
  • Ability to assimilate and enhance mathematical models derived from scientific literature.
  • Experience in JAVA programming with knowledge of fundamental libraries of the Java platform (Java FX, Eclipse).
  • Proficiency in French & English.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with initiative.
  • Skills in numerical programming for solving nonlinear equations, special functions (Bessel, Hankel...), and inverse transformations (Fourier, Laplace...) are also appreciated.
  • Proficiency in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
  • Knowledge in continuum mechanics, thermal dynamics, fluid mechanics, and other theories of transfer modeling in continuum media are advantageous.
