- Conduct initial discovery meetings to understand brand identity, target audience, and operational needs.
- Develop and present initial mood boards, concept narratives, and preliminary floor plans.
- Create a cohesive design concept that includes spatial planning, style, color palette, and material selection.
- Produce detailed floor plans, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), and elevations.
- Specify all FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment): including furniture, lighting, finishes, fabrics, hardware, and decorative elements.
- Create 3D visualizations and renderings to illustrate the design intent.
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional interior design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed hospitality projects (hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, etc.).
- AutoCAD or Vectorworks (for technical drawings)
- SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino and/or Revit (for modeling)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign for presentations)
- Microsoft Office (Excel for schedules and budgets)
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry standards, building codes, ADA compliance, and health & safety regulations.
- Supplier Network: Strong existing relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and distributors of hospitality-grade FF&E.
- Project Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables independently.
- Communication: Outstanding visual, verbal, and written communication skills for presenting ideas and collaborating with clients and contractors.
- Fluency in English and French (preferred)
- Formal degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience working on projects of a similar scale.
