Votre mission :Science Coordinator on boardStart date: January 2026 – A training period on board will be organized prior to deployment.We are looking for a skilled Science Coordinator to support and oversee scientific operationson board our polar expedition vessel. The candidate will liaise between the scientific teams andthe ship’s crew to ensure smooth coordination and operation of research activities at sea.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate scientific activities during polar expeditions.Operate Zodiac boats safely to transport researchers and equipment.Apply and enforce safety protocols at all times.Communicate effectively with both scientists and maritime crew.Follow the Safety, Environmental, and Management System (SEMS).Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures.Maintain clear records and write handover notes for replacements.Le profil idéal :Required QualificationsSolid maritime experience is essential.Proven experience operating Zodiac boatsBackground in engineering, technical sciences, or maritime systemsGood understanding of navigation, shipboard safety rules, and polar operations.Comfortable working closely with scientists without necessarily having a research background.Strong safety culture and risk assessment awareness.Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
