- As part of the Structural Sciences unit, the successful candidate will assist in delivering research-grade proteins suitable for structural biology, biophysical assays, and screening to support SERVIER in the discovery of novel therapeutic molecules.
- In this lab-based role, the candidate will be involved in the day-to-day running of the protein production activities including optimization of production in mammalian cells, planning appropriate experiments, troubleshooting and proposition of alternatives.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the purification of therapeutic targets for SERVIER's research approaches using various chromatography technologies for protein purification (affinity, ion-exchange, size exclusion, …), and contributing to protein characterization and quality-control with state-of-the-art technologies.
- The candidate will analyze and interpret generated data, maintain accurate and complete records, and clearly communicate own or team results with internal and external stakeholders.
- A relevant scientific Master/Engineer degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Protein Sciences or equal by experience.
- Sound knowledge of protein production and purification, preferred related to structural biology and biophysical characterization.
- Expertise in mammalian or insect cell expression of proteins.
- Practical experience with protein purification and good understanding of fundamental biochemistry technologies.
- Experience in laboratory-based research.
- Work experience in multiple protein expression methods in an industrial environment or protein production platform is favorable.
- Ideally some knowledge in technologies for biophysical characterization of proteins and structural biology.
