This position will work closely with key suppliers and internal personnel to support successful long-term growth and implement successful programs that benefit both Univar and our suppliers.What you'll do
  • Responsible for business relationships with suppliers, including mapping and engaging interactions with management, technical, marketing, and supply teams.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of procurement, supply, sales, marketing, financial, and logistical strategies.
  • Support and lead the negotiation of pricing and buying plans.
  • Work closely with procurement, finance, and accounts payable to resolve supplier issues and remove supply chain obstacles.
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, push products, and supplier engagement.
  • Provide regular market updates to the field sales organization on assigned products and coordinate training with suppliers for both technical and commercial topics.
  • Provide mentorship to the sales teams and others on day-to-day issues, e.g., pricing, service, procurement, and supply.
  • Facilitate business growth and communications relevant to the assigned market.
What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred).
  • Successful experience (minimum 2 years) in sales and/or product management.
  • Pharmaceutical Ingredients (raw chemicals) industry experience preferred.
  • Analytical skills to develop strategic, data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to develop and grow strong relationships with suppliers and cross-functional partners (Marketing, Procurement, Finance, etc.).
  • High level of decision-making ability, balancing supplier needs and company objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage diverse and significant workloads.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
  • You are fluent in French and English.
  • Knowledge of SAP is highly preferred.
