Job Description:This position is opened within the CTO office of the Energy Management Business Unit (EMBU), which supports innovation & growth for our different lines of business on their energy efficiency & sustainability offers.The CTO office provides this support through several strategic technology disruption programs, one of which aims at platforming the hardware layers of our devices and support blueprints & platformed architecture through a Center of Expertise.The Principal Product Cybersecurity Architect is in charge of defining & managing our cybersecurity architecture for the hardware of our devices; and supporting the execution of this architecture at scale.Duties and responsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will come with a strong expertise on Root-of-Trust (RoTs) & Chain-of-Trust (CoT).The Principal Product Cybersecurity Architect will:
  • Work with teams from Procurement, Legal & our Electronics Center of Expertise (CoE) to engage with semiconductors providers, assess their chips & security chips, and approve some of them for use as hardware RoTs (roots-of-trust) in the lines of business, based on their features & performance.
  • Work with cybersecurity leaders from manufacturing, supply chain, & PKI teams to securely integrate the approved silicon technology to our existing systems.
  • Collaborate with teams from the Electronics CoE & engineering groups to platform standard architectures and ease implementation with blueprints & bricks.
  • Enable engineering groups from lines of business with the adoption of these chips by providing training, guidance & support on approved technology.
  • Monitor the approved technology for threats, vulnerabilities & updates; and oversee the mitigation of these at scale with the lines of business and with the support of PMOs and product owners.
Qualifications
  • Graduate or Post-graduate degree in computer science, information systems, or related field or comparable industry experience
  • Education or certification specialization on cryptography is a plus
Professional Experience and Competences
  • Embedded product security architecture and/or operations
  • Experience with hardware security: implementing hardware roots of trust, secure boot, secure storage, firmware update, software signature, …
  • Hands-on experience with designing & implementing TPM, TEE, Secure Element, Secure Enclave, …
  • Silicon architecture, secure boot, cryptography, and/or supply chain security
  • Knowledge of threat modelling & risk management
  • Experience on Embedded Software (RT OSRTXC, VxWorks, Mbed, Linux, …)
  • Ability to demonstrate feasibility of proposed architecture through mock-up / prototyping
  • Learning, sharing, and implementing best practices with the ability to determine operational processes and transform them
