- Maintain the general accounting of the US entities in accordance with IFRS and Group accounting policies in collaboration with the North America Finance Director and local teams based in the US.
- Ensure the accuracy & reliability in a timely manner of monthly & annual accounts on the following: payroll, bank management & reconciliation, debt & financial instruments, fixed assets, inventory valuation & physical inventory, intercompany reconciliation, provisions & accruals, monthly full BS & P&L, project accounting, collaboration with the purchase to pay stream based in the US,statutory compliance including tax declaration in support of the local finance team in the US, and tax advisors in the US and Canada,support for external audit
- Supervise the accounting of the Japanese & Korean entities in accordance with IFRS and Group accounting policies in collaboration with local accounting teams (general accountant & financial controllers) and external accounting advisor.
- Ensure Group and statutory compliance requirements are met and that the financial reporting is performed in an accurate, reliable and timely manner.
- Maintain & improve effective internal control procedures & accounting processes to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Identify potential risks and propose corrective measures to minimize accounting errors and increase closings efficiency.
- Optimize existing financial processes or, where necessary, suggest and implement new processes with an aim toward improving efficiency and automation.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance community.
- Work closely with the finance teams in France, in the US and in Japan to ensure consistency in financial reporting and processes.
- Facilitate communication between the US & Japanese entities and the headquarters in France by providing regular updates on financial status and accounting activities.
- At least 5 years of accounting and/or audit firm experience, with exposure working with international organizations
- Expert knowledge of Excel and knowledgeable and skilled in financial systems and BI tools (MS Dynamics 365 / Business Central, PowerBI, SAP 4 HANA)
- Experience in taking the lead on financial projects and/or implementing process improvements or policy changes
- Experience in project accounting under IFRS15
