Joining Vaccine RD Lab Digital Product team, you will have the opportunity to work transversally from early Research to Clinical Laboratories. You will contribute as a key enabler to exciting programs, from recombinant vaccines to mRNA.Main responsibilities
- Accountable for Product design & roll-out in Vaccine RD
- Digital Product Vision: Define and communicate the vision and value-proposition for Vaccine RD aligned with lab functions priorities Sanofi digital R&D strategy
- Roadmap & Prioritization: Develop & execute roadmap for the different lab functions, with a focus on research laboratories. Prioritize high-level Lab Workflows according to functions needs & readiness, as well as technological maturity/feasibility in close partnership with Digital Product lead
- Delivery: Responsible for business design (from Vaccine RD or Digital RD) to deliver fit-for-purpose digital solutions. Act as Business Analyst for most workflows as hands-in team member [see below], coordinate with External Business Analysts ad hoc
- Resourcing: Ensures resource availability for project, define and check pre-requisites for Labs in coordination with Digital Transformation Leaders in the functions and Super Users
- Governance: Reports to progress (KPI) and alerts to the Vaccine RD Digital & Data leadership. Represents Vaccine RD in overall program governance bodies
- Collaboration: You will work daily as a spare partner to the Digital R&D product lead, and more broadly work as one team with Digital R&D and Vaccine RD stakeholders (subject matter expert, super users), using Agile/Scrum methodologies (daily stand-up, sprint planning/sprint review). Digital RD lead will be accountable for all the tech/digital build of the roadmap
- Documentation & Validation: Secure proper documentation of the digital product as defined per Sanofi Digital Policies, including system validation where needed (FDA 21 CFR part 11) with the support of Quality stakeholders. Participate to Global quality audits and inspections
- Deliver Business Analyst, “translator” between Digital and Research Lab Scientists (role also expected from the Product Owner)
- Lead process harmonization to design core workflows with the support of Lab functions Digital Transformation leads & Super users. Pro-actively identify opportunities to compromise between full standardization & flexibility, defining staged-approach or modularity where relevant
- Document Agile User Stories: Translate business needs & expectations into clear & testable user requirement/user story. These user stories can and should also cover data consumption layer for data visualization or decision making (delivery done by Digital RD or other groups in Vaccine RD)
- User-Centric Approach: Understand the needs of Vaccine RD users, including researchers and technicians to support & simplify user experience (from lab to data science)
- Facilitate Transformation: Help clear blocking points for adoption of new ways of working or data structuration in the new ELN/LIMS
- Automation: Identify opportunities to automate data flows and leverage Sanofi Connected lab team (mix of Digital RD & Vaccine RD)

- Documentation: Deliver digital product documentation in his scope (including user stories, test scripts, interfaces etc.)
- Act as Vaccine RD Data Lead for his domain, in collaboration with other Lab Product Owner & Data Governance
- Product Data Model: Accountable for maintaining Vaccine RD Data Model for his Product, un collaboration with RD Data Office, Digital RD and Pharma RD stakeholders
- Product Data Governance: Set up with Data Governance Lead/RD Data Office the design & set up of Data Governance for the new tool & process
- Drive Data model set up or adjustment to Vaccine RD needs: Coordinate Data Owners or Vaccine delegate (per Data Domain or Dub Domain) to define Data Standards and metadata, Interfaces and Lineage
- Interact with Data stewards who will maintain Data Model/Cataloging/Ontologies in the relevant Digital Data Governance Tools and execute Data Quality routines
- BA/MS in Biology/Life Sciences with 5-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong record of accomplishments and experience in Laboratory digital project management (ELN/LIMS) and digital transformation
- Demonstrated leadership experience and demeanor to spearhead strategy and implementation of information standards required to meet discovery and drug development processes
- A change agent with a combination of science, technology, and diplomatic skills
- Good knowledge of vaccine laboratory workflows (including virology, bacteriology, immunology, molecular biology, clinical testing)
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail, quality, time management and customer focus
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills and superior problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated willingness to make decisions and to take responsibility for such

- Good understanding of Scientific Data models & Data Governance best practices
- Good knowledge of cross-industry data standards
- Experience in 21 CFR Part 11 is a plus
- BA/MS Degree in Biology/Life Sciences
- Fluent in English
- French is a plus
