We chase the miracles of science every single day, pursuing progress to make a real impact on millions of patients around the world.As a Senior Engineer within mRNA Systems Engineering, your work will be instrumental to transform research models into products that directly impact vaccine development. To this end you will interact with AI/ML scientists tackling hot topics in every area of our end-to-end mRNA platform, including process modeling, sequence design, formulation optimization, translational models and more.Main responsibilities:
  • Design, build and maintain key systems for AI industrialization within the mRNA Center of Excellence
  • Collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary development team to create innovative solutions
  • Interact directly with users to gather feedback and implement improvements in an AGILE mindset
  • Ensure best practices in software development are consistently applied across projects
  • Contribute to educating collaborators on software development best practices and system thinking
  • Develop backend systems and solutions that support the mRNA platform's objectives
  • Help drive the technical vision for systems that reduce friction in the software world
About youExperience:
  • Practical experience developing backend systems and pipelines (e.g. Kubernetes, Metaflow, ArgoWorkflows), frontend experience is a plus
  • Experience with DevOps, GitOps and MLOps practices and tools (e.g. Github Actions, ArgoCD, Weights and Biases)
  • Practical experience developing backend systems and pipelines (e.g. Kubernetes, Metaflow, ArgoWorkflows). Customer Experience (CX) skills and experience designing and building frontend is a plus
Soft and technical skills:
  • Proficient in Python programming with strong software engineering skills and culture (e.g. code quality and sustainability, documentation, testing)
  • System thinking approach with experience in designing software architectures
  • Strong collaboration skills for working in multidisciplinary environments
  • Customer orientation and experience working in an AGILE way
Education:
  • Master's or Engineering degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent, and significant industry experience. An appetite for LifeScience/Biomedical Research is important to align your purpose with Sanofi’s, actual experience in the field is a plus
Languages:
  • Fluency in English required, French language skills are a plus
