
Reconciliation & Planning Manager (Banking Operations) - Based in Paris

- Join us as a Reconciliation & Planning Manager to strengthen our Banking Operations reconciliation capabilities across all payment types and drive process improvements that reduce breaks and accelerate investigations. Following our recent reorganization, you'll be part of a dedicated Planning & Reconciliation team that ensures compliance and protects our 500,000+ customers' funds across Europe.
- You will work closely with Gustavo Valentini, our Planning & Reconciliation team leader, and join a team of 5 other Qontoers that directly impacts Qonto's operational efficiency and financial performance through data-driven analysis and robust reconciliation processes.
- Master Qonto's reconciliation scope including settlement accounts, suspens & transit accounts, reducing unreconciled items volume and aging within your first months
- Investigate complex reconciliation breaks using SQL and Excel to identify root causes and implement systematic fixes that prevent future issues
- Deliver clear weekly summaries to Finance and Banking Operations teams with actionable insights and recommendations
- Lead cross-team improvement projects such as implementing new L1 controls, SLA recovery plans, and process optimizations
- Collaborate with external partners including Natixis, Archaea, Mastercard, and BPOs to resolve complex reconciliation issues and improve data flows
- Support planning activities including workforce management for AML, Fraud, BO Payments & BO Juridical teams
- Develop and implement action plans when SLA targets are not being reached, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure swift resolution

- Experience: You have at least 2 years of experience in reconciliation, planning, or similar analytical roles in a banking institution or fintech/tech environment
- Technical mastery: Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis, plus advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, pivot tables, and data visualization
- Analytical expertise: You can systematically break down complex problems into components, identify root causes through data analysis, and propose creative solutions to operational challenges
- Communication skills: You excel at summarizing analysis and presenting clear conclusions with actionable recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Process improvement mindset: You proactively challenge existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions that increase productivity and reduce manual work
- Project management: Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively and manage projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Languages: Fluent English is required for daily operations. Good knowledge of French is preferred for local banking requirements
