The Impact You'll MakeAre you a hands-on mechanical engineer with a passion for product design and cost reduction? We're looking for a Senior Product Engineer to lead design innovation and cost-efficiency efforts in a dynamic, global environment. You will apply your technical expertise to support and enhance our Scroll and Reciprocating Compressor product lines. The position will be based in Lyon, France.What You'll Be Doing
  • Drive mechanical design efforts from concept to validation for internal R&D projects.
  • Provide expert support to production teams, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and compliant products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop safe, cost-effective solutions for Residential HVAC systems.
  • Lead and manage cost reduction projects-owning the budget, timeline, and supplier interactions.
  • Champion design reviews, ensuring performance, reliability, and adherence to international standards (UL, PED, CE, etc.).
  • Coordinate and conduct cross-functional design and cost-down meetings for technical approvals.
  • Ensure consistent tracking and reporting of KPIs, cost-down achievements, and development metrics, with clear actions taken to drive continuous improvement and meet defined targets.
What We're Looking For
  • 10-12 years of engineering experience, ideally in refrigeration, HVAC domains or automobile sector.
  • Bachelors/master's degree in engineering preferably Mechanical.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical design, materials, thermodynamics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on expertise in DFMEA, GD&T, DFX, tolerance analysis, and product validation.
  • Strong background in cost-down strategies, supplier change validations, and process standardization.
  • Ability to develop and implement test plans and engineering documentation.
  • Proficient in communicating across cultures and functions-from shop floor to top management.
  • A collaborative mindset-you thrive in cross-functional, multicultural environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proactive and organized-able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A global outlook with flexibility to work remotely or across time zones.
  • Clear communicator, open to feedback, and confident in presenting ideas.
  • Fluent in French and English.
