
Export Control Manager

- Build, implement, and continuously adapt Forvia's internal compliance framework to match the company's evolving scale, operational complexity, and maturity, while staying responsive to shifts in geopolitical landscapes and regulatory environment
- Maintain and assist with the implementation of corporate export controls related policies, procedures and guidelines
- Establish and maintain up-to-date the cartography of risks linked to export control
- Provide advice and guidance in cross-functional projects relating to export control
- Provide advice and recommendations on required dual-use licenses and other underlying documentation for accurate compliance with the applicable dual-use regulations
- Lead, coordinate, or support dual use classification related projects and activities
- Provides support for restricted party screening for customers, suppliers, and partners (sanctions, embargoes, denied parties)
- Perform training of personnel at all levels on a frequent basis. Advise Forvia business groups / companies / plants of new regulations and how they affect business processes when it relates to export control
- Develop and provide advice for procedures ensuring adherence to export control regulations
- Be the point of contact for export control related government agencies and authorities
- Master degree II or equivalent required; advanced degree helpful
- Competent export control experience required, preferable in a multinational company or in a consulting firm
- 4-7 years of detailed and extensive knowledge and experience in EU, US and international export control related regulations, including classification, licensing, reporting and export program development and management
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Fluent level of English
- Knowledge of risk mapping and management tools and methods
- A strong strategy and results orientation
- Listening skills, understanding of others, organization, rigor, strong responsiveness and autonomy
- Ability to mobilize, be a force for proposal and to unite in cross-functional project management
- Very good writing and synthesis skills
