
Finance Transformation Project Manager

Short term the focus will be on the CFIN project as finance lead: apply and adapt the Common Information Model to CFIN, finalize the implementation of the second wave of sites (training, create mapping,…), make the data reliable and indisputable (resolve reconciliation issues between CFIN and ORION, eliminate out of local system manual adjustments,…), develop the use of CFIN for analysis and controls, support the creation of the central activities, handover with the stakeholders (data model office, BU, sites and corporate teams).
Mid-term the transformation will continue with further development of the use of CFIN, the connection with HFM, the replacement of the consolidation tool, the development of enterprise standards, the automation of some activities, the implementation of S4HANA in other sites and potentially the implementation of an EPM.The position requires travelling to different sites and potentially supporting these sites locally on the ground for a certain period.Primary Purposehe Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing and closing some of these finance transformation initiatives. He/she also communicates and coordinates with the other Project Managers and with stakeholders, identifies and mitigates risks and ensures stakeholder satisfaction.Key accountabilities
- All project activities on the finance function side (standardizing metrics and objects, evaluating accounting impacts, determining mapping between local and central systems, coordinating activities with sites, BU, corporate and IT teams, determining and tracking corrective actions, informing management on main discrepancies, implementing corrective action).
- Ensures accounting/legal/tax/financial/treasury compliance with Group rules, IFRS/SOX reporting and local legislation for the new processes and tools.
- The individual should be a mature, seasoned professional with controlling experience and a track record of successful collaboration, teamwork and performance across the organization. The position requires an individual who thrives on a challenge and demonstrates a passion for transforming an organization, for developing new tools and processes and for managing data. Implicit in this is the ability to proactively address key project issues and effectively communicate solutions to the stakeholders (sites, BU, corporate, IT).
- The individual must be able to operate in a feedback-rich, team-based environment and have constructive and positive interpersonal skills. He/she should have at least 5 years of progressively responsible financial experience.
- The position requires travelling to different sites and potentially supporting these sites locally on the ground for a certain period
- Specific competencies:
- Good knowledge of SAP (FI/CO/SD/MM), of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance and of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Language fluency in English. French and German are a plus.
- Good practice of Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Hyperion and BI tools.
- Prior experience in project management within a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and lead team members across departments to complete projects according to both internal and external deadlines is vital.
- Ability to influence/lead team members who are not direct reports.
- Requires effective written and oral communication skills, sufficient to communicate with all levels of the organization and consultants.
- Highly organized and able to develop project schedules, identify milestones and deliverables.
- Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills, Lean experience is a plus.
