Job descriptionData engineers collect, transform and store data using pipelines and storage systems. This involves extracting data from various data source systems, transforming it into the staging area, and loading it into database, data warehouse or datalake systems.
The Data Engineer ensures quantitative and qualitative access to data sources. He/she ensures availability of data and guarantees the quality of its use in-order-to facilitate its exploitation by Data analysts and Data scientists.
His/her scope of intervention is focused on application systems around data management and processing and on Big Data, IoT platforms.MAIN MISSIONS, OBJECTIVES AND KPIS RELATED
- Analyze and organize raw data
- Build data systems and pipelines
- Evaluate business needs and objectives on data processing
- Conduct report on data pipelines and data consumption
- Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
- Combine raw information from different sources
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition
- Develop analytical tools and programs
- Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projectsEXPERIENCE
  • 5 years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Data Platform
Specific knowledge : SQL database, Data bricks, Architecture médaillon, Node-red, Docker, Apache Airflow, Hive, Spark, GitQUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar fieldA Master’s is a plus Data engineering certification (e.g IBM Certified Data Engineer) is a plusKEY BEHAVIOURS
To succeed in this data engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources.Some extra skills which make the difference
Data engineer skills also include familiarity with several programming languages and knowledge of learning machine methods.
