We are looking for an outstanding profile to team up with all the CAE/CAD expert spread in our plant, leading the simulation continuous improvement and standardization. Your mission, taking advantage of your experience in the forge and foundry simulation field, will be to support the continuous development of simulation tools and promoting them to all the expertise in the team to have always the best-in-class knowledge and capability to master the complex word of simulation. This activity is the core of the process that drives all the following step of a product & process development. It is a key position for the team. The candidate should have a good level of experience, be curious and passionate about the forge & foundry and simulation world. The willingness to always look for way to improve the tools and the output of the simulation itself must be the driver. Business will be mainly located in the central office, with chance to travel for trainings, for technical assistance or process simulation improvement. Job environment: • Stellantis cooperate organization • Forge and Foundry plant as main stakeholders • Challenging position in a never resting field with many innovation that are shaping the automotive Industry (Giga Casting) Purpose and Main activities • Master the technical area of forge and foundry simulation. • Guarantees the performance of his job • Manage transversally the simulation team • Establish lessons learned and improve the foundry simulation at state of art • Research and propose enhancements and changes to digital tools therefore being in relation with simulation software editor (Magmasoft, Transvalor) to improve the predictiveness of simulation results, with the best level of correlation between physical and numerical, the best efficiency and rapidity of execution • Participate and intervenes on external workshop with external partners (example: workshop for improvement of thermal management) • Contribute to the realisation of simulation with expertise view for project development • Achieve benchmarks and provides competitive intelligence • Capitalize and transmits knowledge • Ensure the skills development and its maintenance at the best level • Support the forge and foundry team for product & process development, crisis or for supplier analysis
  • Master Degree in Mechanical or Material Engineering or equivalent (BAC+5 in France) • 5/10 years of experience within relevant area (forge & foundry process and simulation). Less than 5 can be evaluated if the experience has been fully dedicated to simulation • Foundry Simulation tools : Magmasoft. Forge Nxt, Thercast, Flow3D as a bonus • CAD tools : Catia, NX • Foundry Process knowledge: High Pressure Die Casting, Aluminium Gravity Die Casting, Cast iron • Material: Physical material knowledge for Aluminium, Cast iron, Steel (for tools) • English language (B2) minimum At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
