- Create and deploy the credit policy by customer type in collaboration with the sales teams, establish rules for negotiating payment terms with customers
- Address billing and collection inquiries with customers (on billing matters, payment terms, and credit policies) and manage escalation and dispute resolution
- Manage relationships on collection topics with our legal team and our collection agency/lawyer
- Review our billing processes and oversee the deployment of policies and procedures to ensure automated, timely and accurate customer invoicing, collaborating with Sales, Legal and Operations for accuracy
- Implement, with a continuous improvement perspective, a new billing system (like Netsuite SuiteBilling or Zuora), compliant with electronic invoicing and IFRS revenue recognition needs
- Continuously improve and update invoicing and cash collection systems, processes and policies, monitoring market standards and trends
- Be the point of contact, raise awareness and challenge the Sales, Customer Success and Legal teams, as well the broader company, on customer credit issues
- Overseeing multi-state compliance (including sales tax in the USA and Canada)
- Establish, analyze and comment on weekly and monthly account receivables and customer credit performance reporting
- Minimum 6-8 years experience in finance-related roles, focusing on billing and credit control
- Experience of implementing a billing tool (Netsuite SuiteBilling/Zuora…), ideally within a SaaS company and familiarity with SalesForce CPQ
- Previous exposure to an international environment with an understanding of the market standard policies and processes around collection (ideally US, UK and German markets)
- Good understanding of billing processes, credit control, and financial risk management
- Experience of leading and motivating a team and the ability to work collaboratively whilst contributing positively to team culture
- Acute analytical abilities with a structured problem-solving approach with a detail-oriented mindset
- Good emotional intelligence, adaptability, drive and resilience
- Self-driven, someone who excels at multitasking and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Comfortable with exposure and partnering/influencing throughout the organizational structure
- Fluent French, and excellent English proficiency (B2 minimum)
- Compensation: Package includes base salary, a variable component and equity 📈
