- Selecting & on-boarding suppliers from a capability standpoint (quality, delivery, others)
- Evaluating the capabilities of suppliers & qualifying them (off-cycle evaluations/audits and qualification)
- Establishing the short-list of critical suppliers for which development actions are needed to minimize Alstom exposure to risks due to the Supply Chain
- Implementing the necessary development actions at suppliers to meet expectations : collaborative planning, capacity building, quality assurance improvement, training, maturity improvement, etc.
- Ensuring consistency and efficiency of the activities delivered by the SSD organization (Supplier Quality Development, Supplier Delivery Development)
- Ensuring regular exchanges/routines with Procurement for the deployment of Supplier Strategic Development activities and providing the consolidated view of supplier Panel’s performance & maturity
- Influencing both suppliers & procurement strategy to improve the overall performance of the supplier base
- Contributing to build the processes, tools and catalogue of activities for supplier strategic development
- Domain: Build and maintain the SSD Priority List of suppliers to be developed with the inputs from Regions
- Domain: Allocate suppliers of the Priority by country origin within the SSD organization (Domain or Region)
- Define for each supplier part of the SSD Priority List the level of needed development : “off-cycle” Supplier’s Processes Evaluation/qualification (Generic, Supply Chain, Special Processes and other specific audits) and/or full development plan
- Achieve the objectives related to Priority List coverage in terms of evaluation and qualification coverage, with adequate audits and Follow-up
- Identify, define and deploy adequate development initiatives for the most strategic/critical suppliers & measure results
- Ensure leverage of adequate resource needed (internal and/or external) to deliver the critical Supplier Development activities identified
- Contribute to support the Quality and Supply Chain Crisis resolution
- Consolidate the global performance of suppliers – Organize presence of relevant SSD representative in QBR and/or QQR with suppliers to share progress & needed actions
- Strongly support the management of Risky Suppliers (P1), TOP offenders and Supplier Operational Development in his/her scope
- Ensure proper application and management of the Escalation Process, and more particularly to validate RED SQ escalation requests at Global/Domain level
- Directly manage SSD teams under his/her responsibility and ensure coordination/animation with SSD in Regions (for Domain SSD)
- Organize his/her team and resources to cope with the supplier development needs identified on his/her scope
- Ensure adequate competencies of the Supplier Strategic Development team, support other Domains / Regions in developing their autonomy for delivering all supplier strategic development activities
- Contribute to identify, animate and leverage the network of qualified auditors to ensure consistency in the rules applied
- Graduated from Technical and/or Quality/Supply Chain Engineering degree or/and Business School
- Masters degree level or equivalent
- 10-15 years of experience in Industry with position such as Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent
- Quality & Supply Chain tools experienced (e.g. problem solving/Risk management tools/Lean)
- Manufacturing Processes knowledge
- Experience in managing global suppliers
- Mass production industries (e.g. railway, aeronautic, automotive)
- Knowledgeable of Supplier Quality or Supply Chain or Procurement tools (eg problem solving ; audits , Risk management ; Capacity ; Lean)
- Experience and knowledge in the products of his/her scope
- Knowledge of IRIS Standard requirements
- Knowledge of QMS/EHS/SAFETY
