MISSIONAs a System Engineer, you will be part of the IoT operational team. System Engineers provide 2nd level of support to technical teams in the field, with strong collaboration with our R&D department and our different partners. You also drive and participate in field tests, operate and monitor our IoT Cloud platform.Your focus will be on our main IoT products: Asset Tracking solution - that helps companies and consumers, mainly in automotive domain, track their valuable assets wherever they are, monitor their status, protect them from theft and facilitate their recovery if they are stolen. And keySTREAM - Kudelski's Cloud platform that provides functions to identify, secure, manage and authorize IoT devices, protect data, control access and actively secure and update them over time.The ideal employee can analyze and solve difficult problems under pressure and must be able to operate independently and autonomously. We are looking for a collaborative team player with a customer-driven outlook.RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral:
  • Participate actively in the System Engineering team, i.e., day-to-day tasks, attend meetings and workshops, propose improvements
  • Maintain a “can-do” attitude and positive and constructive approach towards tasks at-hand
  • Attend and provide relevant training sessions to keep up-to-date skills and knowledge
  • Acquire an adequate level of expertise on matters related to their work
  • Can represent the company on customers premises.
Operations & Tests:
  • Provide 2nd level of support to our technical teams
  • Organize, drive and participate to field tests
  • Operate and monitor the IoT cloud platform, including participation to 24/7 shifts
  • Consolidate data coming from the field and tools; analyze, propose and trigger products, processes & services improvements. Drive and/or implement automatization of operational tasks
  • Listen to customers and field engineers, help them operate their platform while consulting with other project team members (Program Manager, Product Manager, Senior/Expert System Engineer, Development teams) when needed
  • Participate to the definition and the execution of the operational features of the various IoT products. Organize the knowledge transfer to the different level of support
  • Comply with the processes and defined KPIs
  • Handle customer situations confidently, be aware of customer consequences and know when to escalate
  • Take pride in work and solving customer problems efficiently and effectively
  • Be respectful of and helpful to other Engineers and enjoy gaining and sharing knowledge.

Background:
  • Master's in Engineering / Computer Science or Telecommunications degree
  • Fluent in English is a must, French language would be valuable

  • Scripting capabilities (for automation of tasks, reporting, data analysis)
Knowledge and/or experience in these areas a plus:
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Cellular networks standards (LTE, LoRa) and wireless communication standards (Bluetooth, WiFi)
  • AGILE & DevOps methodologies
  • Mobile Operating systems basic troubleshooting (iOS, Android)
  • Web and http protocol
  • Embedded systems.
