As part of this dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to lead projects, explore new ideas, and turn advanced research into real, high-performing products.As Product Development manager, you will be responsible of:Management of New Product Development:
  • To pilot R&D projects in the field of Hot Rolled High Strength Steels for Yellow & Green Goods and Heavy Transports markets
  • Contribute to identify & analyze market needs and trends, and translate into new project proposals for R&D portfolios, considering ArcelorMittal strategy
  • Contribute to the technical and economic analysis of the projects, assessment of value creation
  • Make sure product conception is well completed on time, follow industrialization with pilot plant, and trials with pilot customers
  • Prepare new product launch together with the Business Units involved and support ramp-up
  • Managing interfaces with the labs, plants, technical & commercial organizations involved
Support Sales & Marketing teams for Product promotion:
  • Provide technical explanations and training to the commercial team
  • Participate in customer visits, fairs and special promotion events
  • Contribute to the management of the product catalogue as an expert of the product line
  • Assist in preparing technical and marketing materials, including brochures, leaflets, and kits
  • Follow & influence standardization and regulations related to the product line
Your profile
  • You hold a Master's degree or a PhD in Materials Science or in a related field.
  • You have at least five years of experience as a materials engineer in a R&D environment.
  • You have a strong expertise in steel processing and advanced metal characterization techniques.
  • You have the capacity of managing a diverse portfolio of projects with efficiency and focus.
  • You are fluent in English (spoken and written). Additional European languages are valued.
  • You are open to travel within Europe.
