Our team is part of a transnational department that works with the complete range of aircraft systems, on all Airbus commercial aircraft products (plus A400M, and more), across the full lifecycle of our products - from novel research concepts though to in-service operations.You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Aircraft Systems Safety Engineer, and you will be involved in the following:
  • Safety analyses of aircraft systems (functional safety assessments, analysis of particular risks, zonal safety analyses)
  • Review of in-service events to determine the safety consequences
  • Evolution and digitalization of our safety processes, methods and tools, including our transition towards Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA).
Your key goal will be to develop a robust and practical understanding of the application of safety processes and methods to aircraft systems. In complement, you will build knowledge on the design and function of a range of aircraft systems (e.g. primary flight controls, electrical systems, navigation and communication systems) for the fleet of Airbus aircraft.You will also have developed an ability to work in a highly complex technical environment, working concurrently on a variety of challenging technical tasks and achieving results through working with a diverse array of stakeholders.Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position. This may include time in the systems design teams, and/or time with another team focused on safety activities.What we are looking forTo be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate that you have:
  • A degree level or equivalent in Engineering
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of aircraft safety or aircraft systems engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
  • The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
