If any adjustments to the position are necessary, they will be discussed during the recruitment interview.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Sr Mining Engineer is part of the HO Tech Sces Team, will work with the Technical Services Manager. The mission of the Sr Engineer is structured around 3 main axes: * Technical support for the operation's technical teams, performance analysis:
  • Methods for operational issues, variants
  • Technical claims
  • Analysis of production and productivity data from operational sites, benchmark data, challenge proposed options by site teams
  • On-site support missions for specific technical issues, people development
  • Monitoring existing operations to capitalize experience for the cost estimation of new projects
  • Budgets
  • Support the operating sites during the budget phase
  • Support for operating sites for multi-year budgets, long term review
  • Methods & cost estimation during the call for tender phase:
  • Technical analysis of the project
  • Definition of methods, forecast work schedule
  • Search for alternative solutions, fleet variants to ensure the success of the call for tender
  • Cost estimation of new projects
The mission described above is the core of the scope and some additional missions can be enlarged as new challenges raise-up.CANDIDATE PROFILEExperiencePreferred Educational background is Minig Engineer, with experience in mine planning and mine operations with a mining experience of 15 years in the industry with a proven experience in load& haul, D&B, Engineering.This position requires to produce documents, analysis and synthesis so an ability in analyze, and writing is important. Therefore, mastering the MS Office Suite, Word/Excel/PPT is mandatory.Mastering mine planning software as SURPAC / DESWIK / MICROMINE SPRY.Holding a budgeting or cost estimation experience is a plus.AssignmentAs member of the HO Technical Team, the position is based in Paris, with missions to sites, new projects, suppliers and attending technical events as needed.OTHER PREREQUISITE
The mining sector operates primarily in English, so a good level of English for communication and written comprehension of documents is essential. Our team is multicultural, and the use of English in communication is a daily occurrence.French capacity and Schengen area residency is a plus according to our current locations and HO.You are dynamic, rigorous, and possess excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. We are looking for a proactive candidate with the ability to adapt to different clients, contexts, and cultures.Our role alternates between a heavier and more demanding workload during the tender phase and periods dedicated to supporting operational sites and developing tools and methods.
