- Hierarchical Management: take in charge the appraisal and training for his/her team
- Provide guidance, support, and coaching at group level. Propose development plans according to project buyer needs, Intensify coaching and development of less senior buyers Provide guidance on product and purchasing process issues
- Ensure smooth transitions in people moves and promote team members development and evolution
- Monitor workload and buyer performance and work with manager to balance workload within the group
- Establishes the supplier short list with project buyers for the project with commodity and project team - ensures group has knowledge of linkage to commodity strategy and the knowledge is transferred and understood by CC
- Negotiates according to the project's quality, cost and deadline
- Proposes and compares alternative solutions
- Addresses the sourcing recommendation to the Sourcing Board. Validates and consolidates at group level the sourcing proposals
- Manages purchase request and purchase order related to project
- Follows payment schedule to suppliers
- Identifies project risks and opportunities, plans activity, and coordinates internally and externally, and tracks them to final realization
- In case of critical topic related to supplier and QCT, he leads associate task force, and escalates to commodity team and management
- Attends POMs events as required and ensures POMs processes and mind-set and part of the group coaching process
- Implements Tier 2 readiness process with objective of non-event launch related to suppliers
- Functional lead for the extended team activity for group projects
- Leads critical topics for own project and supports buyers on their critical topics
- Ensures manager is aware of critical issues
- Validates project budget and guides buyers on budget process and follow-up
- Proposes adjustments and modifications linked to perimeter evolution
- Insures the follow up of hour's budget of projects at group level and alerts in case of gap
- Regularly reports status to budget to manager
- Participates to continuous improvements for job, organizations and methodology
- At the end of the project, participates to the closure of project and gives feedback regarding best practice and difficulties - coordinates this feedback with project buyer team to commodity and other stakeholders (SQDE and CDE)
- Bachelor of Engineering or Science or Business School with purchasing speciality
- 10 years of experience in the field of project purchasing
