As part of the strategic development of our hybrid wheat program, KWS Momont Recherche is recruiting a Hybrid Wheat Breeder (m/f/d).The position is to be filled with a permanent contract and is full-time, located in Allonnes (28), near Chartres.Your responsibilities:

Lead the hybrid wheat breeding program for Southern and Southeastern Europe, with full budgetary and organizational responsibility.
Develop heterotic pools from KWS genetic resources, in collaboration with parental breeding programs.
Strengthen hybrid pools for hybrids targeting early and very early maturity segments.
Apply hybridization protocols and KWS's proprietary male sterility system.
Coordinate genetic trials and trait databases for parental lines.
Collaborate with internal teams: wheat breeders, research and biotechnology, seed production, product development, commercial.
Supervise and develop breeding teams (assistants, technicians, seasonal staff).
Support commercial launches and variety trials.
Comply with safety standards and internal policies.
Ensure full on-site presence and national/international mobility (especially during summer).

Your profile:

Master's or PhD degree in plant breeding or related discipline, with specialization in hybrid breeding.
Significant experience in hybrid crop breeding (cereals highly valued).
Proficiency in quantitative genetics, genomic selection, and field experimentation.
Skills in statistics and database management.
Experience in managing breeding teams.
Willingness to travel in France and Southern/Eastern Europe during key periods.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Fluent in English and French.
Valid driver's license and flexible availability.
