This role is crucial for deploying data methodologies, standards, and governance practices across business domains, while supporting adoption within operational teams. This role acts as a bridge between data strategy and business execution, ensuring that data foundations are effectively implemented, used, and continuously improved.In Business Transformation Shipping Lines department, reporting to the Head of Data, you will work closely with the various Shipping Lines departments (operations and cargo flow, commercial, agencies network…), Data Leaders (Data Governance, Data science and BI) and other stakeholders to foster a data-driven culture.WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
  • Roadmap & Planning
o Co-build the Data Transformation roadmap with Data Leadership and Domain Leads.o Translate strategic priorities into an operational plan with milestones, deliverables, and KPIs.o Ensure roadmap alignment across business domains and strategic programs.o Track progress and update priorities based on business needs and value delivered.
  • Methodology & Standards Deployment
o Implement and maintain group-wide data methodology (use case collection, data requirement definition, readiness assessment, quality monitoring).o Promote adoption of common standards for data modeling, definitions, and governance.o Ensure alignment of practices across business domains (Vessel, Voyage, Network, Revenue, Cost, Market Share, etc.).
  • Change Management & Adoption
o Support business teams in applying the methodology to their data use cases.o Act as a champion of data culture, enabling teams to understand the value of data and use it effectively.o Organize training, workshops, and communication to increase maturity.
  • Project & Program Management
o Monitor progress of data initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.o Track and report on data readiness dashboards (completeness, availability, integration patterns, quality).o Identify gaps and escalate risks to leadership.
  • Stakeholder Management
o Work closely with Data Domain Leads to ensure consistency and delivery of business-relevant data products.o Partner with IT/Data Engineering to align business requirements with technical capabilities.o Collaborate with business Product Owners to refine data requirements (granularity, freshness, integration patterns).WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience in project management (PMO, agile methods, or transformation programs) with ability to translate business needs into data requirements (without being a technical delivery role).
  • Deep expertise of data governance, data management, data visualization, big data technologies, analytics and AI technologies.
  • Excellent change management skills, able to drive adoption across non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
