It groups a mix of experienced researchers and young talented people from more than 30 nationalities working in result-driven projects.Your roleAs R&D Procurement Manager for the Maizières-Lès-Metz R&D site, you will report to the site's financial director (CFO) and your missions will be:
  • Supervise the purchasing of products and services for research centres and shared services.
  • Develop a purchasing strategy that contributes to the company's goals as well as controlling and optimizing costs.
  • Manage the processing of purchasing requests in accordance with established processes, Global R&D directives and quality standards.
  • Decide on the launch of calls for tenders (e-auction), draft detailed specification, evaluate market prices and lead negotiations to ensure that research teams get the best products and services at the best cost.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the action plan for non-conformities identified during audits or during supplier assessments, in collaboration with the Quality team and the Global R&D Purchasing team.
  • Identify risks and implement the necessary actions to reduce them.
  • Exchange with research teams in order to follow project developments and ensure technological and economic monitoring to be informed of market evolutions
In all the missions, you will interact daily with the Maizières campus teams and with the Global R&D Finance-Accounting-Purchasing team.
You will work closely with suppliers to develop sustainable and long-term relationships.
You will also support the digitalization projects to improve the current local process.Your profile
  • You hold a master's degree (business, purchasing or engineering school) or equivalent with similar significant experience (purchasing management) of at least 5 years and ideally in an industrial sector.
  • Experience in the field of R&D is an asset.
  • Daily professional English practice is needed.
  • You are comfortable in relational terms, you know how to negotiate and manage customer relations.
  • You have a team spirit, you communicate in an efficient way.
  • You have strong analytical and organizational skills as well as an appetite for IT tools (MS Excel, use of ERP, etc.).
  • Your ability to prioritize will allow you to manage your business strategically.
