The platform will also contribute to define our global ambition and approach to new emerging risks related to the energy transition and cyber in the coming years.Within this Department, you will be part of the team Transformation & Operations, a newly created strategic function (& trusted partner) within AXA GUO and AXA GIE; enabling the GUO Organisation, through partnership, collaboration, support and a continuous improvement / simplification mindset.Our goal is to empower and simplify our organization, improve engagement across the AXA Group (GIE), underwriting community & create a meaningful, measurable impact. We do this by consistently collaborating with key stakeholders across AXA GIE functions, GUO and entities to drive the strategic priorities, with a disciplined approach, change management, clear communication and investing in our key strategic priorities.Job purposeAs part of the AXA GUO, Transformation and Operations function, the ‘Transformational Operational Excellence and Change Management Function’ will perform a critical role in defining, scoping and delivering the AXA GUO strategy. This function and roles within, will lead and ensure that projects are managed in a holistic fashion across operational / business deliverables and technology deliverables.The role will lead on proactively identifying the most complex problems that impact the management of the AXA GUO organization, identifies and executes on critical business change management initiatives across the GUO and wider business as necessary. Track, report, measure and report on results and benefits. Ensure that change management techniques are used to ensure success.Dimension

Context & major challengesThe newly created Global Chief Underwriting Office is accountable for establishing, enabling, and driving profit and growth through Product Underwriting Strategy, Portfolio Design and Technical Underwriting Excellence in partnership with the AXA Entities, for both Commercial and Retail.The CUO Transformation & Operations team, under the leadership of the Head of Group CUO Transformation & Operations, is responsible for driving the strategy of CUO & its execution at all levels.Key accountabilities
  • Project initiation: Expected to lead large scale AXA GUO programmes & projects independently, accountable for Project definition/scoping, launch and delivery of programmes/projects with all relevant stakeholders. Working closely with key stakeholders across GUO/the business, technology (TDO) and other functions (GIE and non-GIE) on programme charters, programme structuring (adopting Agile), milestone and project planning/roadmap, KPI definitions. Establish governance structure and onboard project sponsor(s) and project teams as necessary.
  • Programme Execution: Working closely with workstream leads/business product owners and other project managers (e.g., TDO project managers) on the detailed project plan, execution, and monitoring of milestones, KPIs and budget (incl. savings tracking), ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.Ensure resource allocation and track progress.
  • Change Management: Identify key change management steps throughout the project life cycle and ensure that change management activities are appropriately followed to ensure success of the program. Involve Change Management Expert as needed. (Use of PROSCI / ADKAR model)
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and formalize any key issues and risks. Drive resolution and raise key decisions to the appropriate leader and / or governance committee.
  • Program Reporting: Manage overall communication to all stakeholders (program sponsors, Steering Committee, AXA GUO and GIE colleagues) as necessary.
  • Program Management Framework: Drive internal initiatives to help build, expand, and strengthen the programme / project management capability throughout the GUO and broader organisation. This can include establishing of key program management frameworks, project management templates and development and sharing of best practices and lessons learned and training etc.
  • Knowledge Sharing among Transformation & Change team: Share expertise on programme execution by partnering with other transformation and change managers as needed to drive cross-pollination of knowledge.
  • Subject Matter expert: Bring focused technical or topical expertise and knowledge to the team
  • Lead and support continuous improvement across the GUO, regular dialogue with all key stakeholders (AXA GUO Team, GIE Functions, and entities) leveraging lessons learned from projects.
In this role, you will report to the AXA Group, Transformational Operational Excellence & Change Manager.Qualifications
  • You have 5 - 8 years experience of delivering Transformational projects in the establishment of a function / business.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge and experience in global insurance is a plus.
  • Significant experience partnering at the executive level. Takes initiative. Ability to lead and act independently, think in global terms and demonstrate excellent business acumen.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Provide guidance and seek input from others as needed to achieve the best result possible. Capable of working and collaborating with a virtual team, across multiple diverse geographies and cultures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, presentation and influencing skills are essential. Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of sophistication. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently juggle numerous concurrent responsibilities.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to drive execution across a diverse group of stakeholders. Able to implement and deliver strategic initiatives, making positive impact to the organization. Approach tasks proactively and anticipate needs. Think quickly and have the flexibility to (re-)prioritize multiple work streams/ projects/ tasks without sacrificing quality.
  • Trained or experience in PROSCI / ADKAR Change management model.
  • Possess strong finance, analytical skills and numerical aptitude; able to analyze and interpret data appropriately and identify trends in order to analyze or direct/ engage with others as needed.
